About me….

I am a 40 something (not that I want to hide my age, but don’t feel like having to remember to update this on my birthday!) Scot who has been living in Denmark for more than 20 years. I am married to a Dane and have two teenage kids.  After almost 25 years of working for other people I decided to take the plunge and become a freelance consultant, but on my very last day of paid employment, 31 May 2010, I found out that I had cancer – a type called Hodgkins Lymphoma. This blog started out being about my new life as a freelancer but quickly turned into one about my cancer journey. I finished cancer treatment in December 2010 and have been in remission since.
